2023 Norma Jeane

In 2023 we were able to purchase Merlot that not only fits the Norma Jeane profile of a more youthful approachable wine, but also grapes that come from the highly acclaimed Napa Valley.

The brilliant, vibrant, garnet colors immediately impress. Hints of dark cherries, ripe Santa Rosa Plums, lavender and subtle dried herbs excite our senses. Refined tannins and a silky mouthfeel glide over the palate, with added flavors of orange zest, vanilla, cedar and toasted oak on the clean, enjoyable finish.

The 2023 vintage was another strong vintage , but very different from the last few. We had only one heat spell in the summer with the rest of the summer exhibiting very moderate temperatures well into October. This allowed for a relatively mild and extended, long hang time.
